About Klara
Klara Cozens is a senior family law lawyer with CLP Family Law Group. She brings a combination of strong legal training, practical insight and genuine compassion to every family file that she handles. Klara earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary in 2006 and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Manitoba in 2010. She was called to the Alberta Bar in 2011. Klara has extensive knowledge in the area of family law, having focused her practice on family law since 2011.
Klara is a registered Collaborative Lawyer. Her preferred approach is to utilize the Collaborative Law Process or another out-of-Court resolution process to resolve disputes for families.
Klara articled at Altalaw LLP, a well-established Red Deer law firm, and later became a Partner of that firm in 2020, where she continued to practice family law until 2026. In early 2026, Klara made an exciting change and started the CLP Family Law Group with two of her colleagues.
